Selfspecs offers skill tests and short questionnaires for information and self-reflection. It is not a medical or psychological assessment, and its results are not advice. Please do not use a result to make a decision about your health, your job, your studies, your driving or anyone else's life.

If something worries you, talk to a doctor or another qualified professional.

The tests are free for your own use. You may take them as often as you like and keep your results. Please do not try to overload the site, copy it as your own or use scripts to take tests for you.

The results are yours. They are saved in your browser, and the privacy policy explains how to delete them.

We work to make every test fair and every explanation true, but we cannot promise that a result is exact. Devices, browsers and tiredness change results, and the methodology page explains the limits. The site is offered as it is, and to the extent the law allows we are not responsible for decisions made on the strength of a result.

The questionnaires on this site come from published sources, and each questionnaire's page names its authors, its source and the licence it is used under. The word lists of the typing test are adapted from FrequencyWords by Hermit Dave and are shared again under the same licence as the original, a Creative Commons licence with attribution and share-alike.

The full notices and licence texts are kept with the source of the site, in its legal folder, and the word lists are published for reuse with their licence.

Selfspecs is independent. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by any test publisher, study author or brand named on the site. Other names are used only to describe what a test is based on or what it is not.

We may change these terms, the tests and the site at any time. The terms that apply are the ones on this page when you use the site, so it is worth a look now and then.
